december through instagram

well hello there lovelies! i hope you all had a very jolly christmas and wish you all the very best for 2012. i just sorta disappeared off the map the for a bit. i really wanted to do a good bye post but man time just got away from me, so here is a catch up post, my december in 80 photo's through instagram and a wee movie i complied of short clips from our december. it was an very eventful festive season. we helped hand out christmas presents to the less fortunate kids in eldeo's. gary was santa. it's so important to give back, like the organizer and jeni said its not the presents it's the time you give of yourself that really impacts these kids lives. some wake up without a hug or kiss or simple i love you. jeni is an inspiration to say the least and am glad she is apart of my life. gary and i brought my brother home from london as a surprise to my mom, little brother and father. best thing in the world let me tell ya! my moms reaction was the best. she was half asleep in her pj's walking down the passage and in walks kyle, she was nattering something stopped mid sentence said "my child!", enveloped him in a sobbing hug and just held him for what seemed an eternity. we had christmas eve dinner at my mom's with my aunt and our two younger cousins, thomas and luke. little kiddies seriously make christmas. man i cannot wait for my own... on christmas morning we hit the road to durban, stopped off at gary's parents to wish them and drop off all the gifs. once in durbs we dropped kyle off on the corner of my dads street, you see he knew, somehow, that kyle was coming home and i had to throw him of the trail. we drove in said hey, he came out to look at gary's  new car, which was perfect timing because kyle arrived at the gate at the same time. my dad didn't notice and kyle eventually had to yell "surprise!!!" before he looked up... he yelled "ey! you buggers!!! i knew it!!!" haha! was fabulous. we unpacked and sat down to another amazing christmas dinner - well deserved after the long drive. we were in durbs for 9 days and saw my dad and elke (his long time fiance) get married in small but intimate ceremony at their home, we celebrated by polishing the 1.5 litre of moet chandon kyle had bought in duty free and going out for a seafood lunch. we spent the rest of our time at the beach, reading, relaxing, lazing by the pool drinking gnt's and i fell asleep before 12 on new years eve. it was so much fun and i always hate leaving. we arrived home to no water because the pump had been fired by lightning... these thunder storms have been crazy! so it was wishy washy to get the mountain of laundry done. eventually yesterday it came back on only for another massive storm to roll in which knocked a phase out. the phase we happen to be on. so now the pump isn't working (again!!) and not one plug socket works in our house... the joys. this is definitely going to be the year of the dragon. all the best bitches! it's gonna be a fast one so keep your wits about ya.Photobucket
